 If this is what I think it is, I've always been bitten by this since I
 always install PostGIS into its own schema (same goes with PG contrib
 modules into a contrib schema). I always emit the SQL from pg_restore
 (pg_dump in custom format) and make my necessary changes (usually with a
 shell script).
