 On FreeBSD you'll get a compilation error
 ../rt_core/librtcore.a(rt_api.o): In function `rt_raster_to_gdal_mem':
 rt_api.c:(.text+0xbf02): undefined reference to `strnicmp'
 cc: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see
 invocation)
