 Both outputs are valid tiles and will render the same (which is why I did
 not see anything wrong at first) but the unexpected output is the most
 correct encoding.

 It must be related to the use of uthash (1) where I must be doing
 something wrong. Still can't explain at all though why it's affected by
 environment details.
