 To work on the docs, you'd edit the corresponding docs -- for this case
 the st_startPoint, st_endPoint etc. are in the file
 https://svn.osgeo.org/postgis/trunk/doc/reference_accessor.xml

 You can check out the code from any of our mirrors listed here or the tar
 ball is fine too

 Make your changes to the trunk branch (3.0) and we'll back port changes if
 we feel they can be backported.

 Ideally you should provide us the patch in standard patch format and
 attach to the corresponding ticket.

 We also accept contributions via pull requests on any of our git mirrors
 listed on this page.
