[postgis] Alter geometric coordinates

Hi
I need to alter a geometric coordinates and save it.
something like this:
I have a geom:
'LINESTRING((2 5),(2 7))'
after to multiply by 3:
'LINESTRING((2 15),(2 21))'

from a SQL instruction,.. how i do it?
