[postgis-users] backup recommendations - pgdump

I need to upgrade to postgis 0.8 and postgres 7.4. I am now on 0.7.3 and 7.3 respectively. Is it possible to use pgdump_all and pg_restore ? Will these utilities maintain spatial data and their indexes properly ?
