[postgis-users] PostGIS South Africa

I have started work on a small, but hopefuly growing, portal dedicated
to PostGIS, Mapserver and PHP and all their applications. I have only
started setting up the site, but I now have the go ahead to work on it
in a production environment. The URL is http://map.in2one.co.za/cms/ .

Please give me some feedback as to the site, especially content wise.

I would like to find out if anyone on this list has any ideas as to
content, especially an RSS/RDF feed (PostGIS related),
rules/regulations/permissions to host PostGIS releases/documentation etc
(possibly even a mirror if I can up the bandwidth), especially seeing as
though us Africans have to make use of US and European servers to get
the latest releases of our favourite software :) whch makes life
difficult to say the least!

I would like to make this a growing community for the growing African
and South African Postgres/PostGIS user base, especially now that
Governments are starting tentatively to move towards open source
products. 

The currently running software on that box is XOOPS portal system, on
Mandrake Linux 10 community with Postgres 7.4.5 using the latest build
of PostGIS. The mapserver is the UMN Mapserver 4.2.3 pulling data from
the PostGIS server.
