Hi Paul,

The installer places beta 3 in a separate directory to beta 2 and so the
files shouldn't clash; however if you wanted to run two versions together
you would need to configure them to run on different ports in
postmaster.conf.

Note that due to changes in beta, it is not possible to copy the data/
directory from beta 2 to beta 3. If you wish to migrate data across, you
must pg_dump from beta 2 and then pg_restore into beta 3.
