For people on Ubuntu Breezy Badger, I've updated my packages to the latest
versions of:

- GEOS 2.2.0. This is up from Ubuntu's 2.1.1-2ubuntu1. The package was pulled
from Debian's 2.1.4-2 and updated with GEOS 2.2.0. This build renamed the
libgeos2c2 package to libgeos2c2a for their libstdc++ transition.

- Proj. The same major version 4.4.9, but it now includes built-in datum
conversion support. This was pulled from Debian's upstream version. See
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=339470 for more information.

- Postgis 1.0.6.  Up from 1.0.5.

Installation instructions:

====

1) Add to the top of your /etc/apt/sources.list the following two lines:

deb http://www.orcaware.com/packages/ubuntu/ breezy/
deb-src http://www.orcaware.com/packages/ubuntu/ breezy/

2) Run

apt-get update

3) Run

apt-get install libpostgis1-pg8.1

This installs the main packages required for Postgis 1.0.6 with Postgresql 8.1.0.

====

Note that if you have any of my previous packages installed, you cannot just run
'apt-get dist-upgrade' as it won't upgrade libpostgis1-pg8.1 because the new
libpostgis1-pg8.1 depends upon libgeos2c2a, but apt-get won't remove the older
libgeos2c2. So you will need to run 'apt-get install libpostgis1-pg8.1' to get
apt-get to remove libgeos2c2 and install libgeos2c2a and libpostgis1-pg8.1.

For completeness sake, here's the complete list of packages I've compiled:
