hi frank,

i now created another xRiver.sql  and it works....

postgres at linux:/home/henok> su
Password:
linux:/home/henok # /usr/local/pgsql/bin/shp2pgsql  -s
2699 /home/henok/shapefiles/river.shp 
myschema.myRiverdb >xRiver.sql
Shapefile type: Arc
Postgis type: MULTILINESTRING[2]
linux:/home/henok #
