[postgis-users] spatial_ref_sys for Tiger files?

Hi, does anyone know the srid I should use for Tiger files that I load 
into PostGIS? I successfully loaded the data using shp2pg with an srid 
of -1, but obviously the distance() function is returning (I think?) 
useless numbers. I searched everywhere for this srid, including trying 
to match a srtext string to the absolute lack of technical information 
on the tiger data. Thanks in advance. Lucas.
