[postgis-users] Why postgis is so slow?

That's PostGIS from the Windows pginstaller, isn't it? I found that
PostGIS abnormally slow as well, particularly in cases of large
features. It seemed limited to that particular combo: 0.9, windows,
using that particular installer.
Try using Mark's version:
- get pginstaller, but do *not* install the postgis that is included
in it
- get Mark's windows postgis installer (linked from postgis downloads
site) and install that
