Nope. Well, that's not true, there is a paper <http://
dmap.nrlssc.navy.mil/dmap/pubs/documents/benchmarking.pdf> on a topic
somewhat like that, but in general PostGIS/PostgreSQL is not set up
for grid computing. The paper covers the use of MOSIX, which is a
parallel/gridding system that hides the grid behind an OS abstraction.
