In terms of Australian datasets;

   - 1:1 000 000 data is available from Geoscience Australia (GA) -
   https://www.ga.gov.au/products/servlet/controller?event=DEFINE_PRODUCTS
   - GA also have 1:250 000 data which you can purchase
   - For larger scale data, PSMA have collated an Australia-wide dataset
   which you can purchase from their resellers -
   http://www.psma.com.au/resellers
   - Alternatively you can go to each of the states and get their data
   separately for a cost.
