Hi Maciej,

When registering a geometric column in geometry_columns, there is no
automatic mechanism set (triggers or something else) to this metadata
table.

You can use dropgeometryColumn function to clean up the
geometry_columns table, or perform the deletion yourself if you drop
the table directly.
