[postgis-users] trigger upon inserting a record

Hi All,

 

I'll shortly be confronted with the insertion of several hundred records in
a table that also is being referenced by others.

My idea is to create a trigger (using PL/PgSQL) that, after inserting the
record, would then create the appropriate records on other tables.

Could anyone that already has done a similar thing be kind enough as to
point me a good example?
