[postgis-users] Any tutorials on integrating PostGIS data with the Google Maps API?

How easy is it to write a web app that can visualize
PostGIS data using Google Maps?

Is it common to have PostGIS as a backend, using
Google Maps for map output? Seems like a powerful
combination, because your basemap data (imagery and
street centerlines) would be provided by Google.
