[postgis-users] ST_Buffer works on geometrycollections?

All,

The docs for ST_Buffer() say that it does not accept geometrycollections 
as input. However, I've tried it on my geometrycollections, and it seems 
to work, even in cases which caused ST_Union() to fail complaining about 
geometrycollection input.

Any theories? Am I setting myself up for future trouble?
