I provided on the list the XML data model used for arcgis, and someone
was converting it.

 

I will register on the sourceforge and as soon as possible, ill upload
my data model.

 

I think this is a major step, since data models can simplify everyones
life!

I went so far as to set up a sourceforge project for this, but that iis
as far as it went.  One of the initial parties was going to look into
uploading the pipeline data model that they had, which if I recall was
in M$Access, and then we were going to parcel out the work of converting
it into PostgreSQL tables.

Some time ago, in this list there was a discussion about data models.

 

Is anyone carrying out that idea? I remember that there was a buzz
around a pipeline data model, and im wondering if that ever happened.

 

Im willing to contribute too, im building a data model(for my thesis in
college) for traffic accidents analisys, with a geocoder and
informations about the accidents. (Big thanks to David Bitner for
providing the geocoder - which i will help him writing some
documentation too)

 

Is anyone interested in building a repository for these data models or
something similar?
