[postgis-users] Live PostGIS Edit tool?

Hi,

You can open the same table twice, with a query limiting the records plotted to just the one(s) you want to edit, overlaid on the other with as many lines as you need for context.

Changes are cached until saved, so you can save changes then re-edit if required, but this is simple enough. I'm not aware of any application that edits the underlying data directly, they all apply edits to the in-memory version first.

I have been using it for a similar process recently, but with a smaller line dataset, but some 100,000 background points I'm navigating the lines through. Works for me...

Cheers,

   Brent Wood
