Sean,

That dataset is pretty old and at the time when census was giving in their
proprietary format. The newer datasets are much easier to work with and are
in ESRI shape format so can be loaded with the shp2pgsql command line
included with PostGIS.

You can download the latest from here

Subject: [postgis-users] Noobie question: How do I load Tiger Polygon
datainto PostGIS

Hi All,

I am going through your documentation on how to load Tiger data that was
at:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Loading+TIGER+polygons

I cannot find either the tigerpoly.py script nor the recommended

     tigerpolygonformation.zip file

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sean
