I don't think MapInfo supports PostGIS.  However for working with MapInfo I
usually use OGR2OGR which can dump PostGIS data into mapinfo tables with a
single command line statement.

Are Mapinfo and PostGIS compatible?   I've seen a few messages on MapInfo-L 
that sorta imply they work together.  Maybe.  But there is no support
mentioned on the MapInfo website.
