Andreas,

Unfortunately a lot of work still needs to be done here.

What is know to be working is documented here
http://postgis.refractions.net/documentation/manual-svn/ch08.html#id3138669

The relation functions are provided by GEOS and GEOS as of yet has no
knowledge of curve support so you would need to use ST_CurveToLine to use
them.

Hope that helps,
Regina

Subject: [postgis-users] Current status of Curve Support in Postgis

Hi all,

I would be interested to know what the current status of curve support in
Postgis is?

I am aware that one can store circularstrings, compoundcurves and
curvepolygons. Are they fully supported regarding the geometry processing
operators and spatial relation operators or are there limitations?

Thank you for shedding some light on it. If the curve support is already
quite good, I would consider starting to experiment with curves.

Andreas
