Thanks a lot
I found some good materials about raster in a link provided by ThomasG. i didn't
know anything about implementing raster in postgis.
However, by exercise i meant some materials for advancing and becoming
professional in writing spatial queries, if there is.
(i'm also considering some ways to buy "postgis in action" in pdf via credit
card but it takes time)
best regards

ThomasG,
for a study of rasdaman / PostgreSQL raster queries there is a case study:
http://www.springerlink.com/content/5l63816622204711/
On request I can provide you with details, plus more examples involving 1-D
through 4-D raster use cases. Also, I have teaching material on this which I
gladly can share.
Further, for the OGC Web Coverage Processing Service (WCPS) standard there
is a demo online (including a query sandbox) at www.earthlook.org -> WCPS
sandbox.
