Couldn't you ST_translate to move your line to a 0,0 based on ST_startpoint, make a new paraallel using +/-X of vertices, then translate it back?

Subject: [postgis-users] Copying parallel line features

Hi all,

How can I copying parallel line features with postgis?

I search for something like the function "copay parallel" in ESRI ArcGIS.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Sascha
