Greetings,

I sent the following message and, so far, received no reply.

I've been working with OpenJUMP, and now want to learn Quantum-GIS.

OpenJUMP does capability at editing the SQL of SQL-based layers (however,
on saving, it creates a new layer).

Q-GIS' DB Manager (Database->DB Manager) is relatively friendly; but I
haven't found a way to edit the query once it has created a layer. So far,
I've been deleting the layer and resetting the query.

Much thanks,

Subject: qgis-noob question: editing SQL queries in DB Manager

Greetings,

I'm a qgis noob (all of four months). However, I'm very handy w/ Postgresql.

I'm using postgis-enabled queries to build layers, using DB Manager
(Database->DB Manager). The SQL window is very friendly.

However, once the query has been built, and the layer loaded, and the DB
Manager window closed, I don't know how to re-open it in the event I want to
edit the query. Is there a way?

Much thanks,
