[postgis-users] error recovering multipolygones

Hello everybody,


I have a problem with recovery multipolygons from an *.backup file out of the pgadmin.


Due to an database error i had to backup the existing database with many multipolygones. 
After restoring the database every multipolygon was broken out to single polygones with their own entry in the database. 

My question is now how to fix this issue, or the better question is, why isnt the geometrie colum as it was befor the backup?
