[postgis-users] Is it possible to import shapefile from PL/PGSQL or using SQL command?

I did think about calling shp2pgsql, but I don't want to depend on where the
postgres bin folder is located. For now, reading the shape-files using
DotSpatial.Data and sending them to the db through Npgsql seems to work
slow, but okay.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.
