[postgis-users] out-db

Hi,

Just getting started with PostGIS raster. I was looking for an example of
someone loading rasters as out of database files but i note this ticket
(http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/3234 ) updated 3 days ago which seems to
suggest that the gdal out-db raster functionality had moved to milestone 2.0
which has no date set.

Is anyone using and posted examples of using the out-db functionality and
its performance?
