Hi bborie,

Thanks, i was starting to worry.

I'm actually just thinking how to manage a raster dataset (3 band) with a
few hundred thousand tiles (4000*4000 px) each.

It's only to visualise but i thought it would be neat to use PostGIS so i
could easily introduce a timestamp and query the most up to date raster
layer for a given date.

Would i be better using something like imagemosaic through geoserver? I
intend to use geoserver anyway at some point for other bits.

The hits on the data for viewing as a backdrop are currently fairly low but
it would be interesting to know your thoughts should i need it to scale.

Thanks again

Andy
