What tools are being used for this? I saw a nice presentation on poedit & gettext at FOSDEM, being used for a gaming project with 53 translations. 

The total text was around the size of 'the lord of the rings'.
The idea was to speed up translation and improve consistency of the translation by automatically matching existing translated strings.
