PostGIS depends on GDAL, so you may need to recompile all the stuff by
hand or build custom RPMS that depend on GDAL 1.11.
I would suggest you to update to CentOS 7 -- it includes GDAL 1.11 and
the PostGIS RPM in http://yum.PostgreSQL.org is built against GDAL 1.11.
