About Microsoft applications: potentially you could write VBA macros and
use the ADODB library to create
a connection to a PostgreSQL DB to import the data from it using SQL. There
are even some tools which
you can install in your system and automatically create connectors in your
spreadsheets, presentations, etc.
but I never used one of them so I'm not able to suggest anything in
particular.
