[postgis-users] wkb vs wkt

Hi all,

is anyone aware of a blog post or other written material comparing the
advantages of well known binary to well known text geoms? Is one faster
than the other?

All else being equal it seems very helpful to default to using human
readable geom values but maybe there are reasons to prefer wkb?
