If the zone (Strefa) boundaries were straight lines, I wouldn't have 
had to post my query in the first place. I got them from the Geodeta 
2000 Nr. 4 article and tried them first, but the ambiguities when the 
very curved borders are approached in a lat/lon sweep make them 
unusable. Also the map numbers are duplicated in each zone to some 
extent, making them useless too.  Since the people who will be using 
my free software are unlikely to be willing to pay for something 
special, it doesn't look hopeful.  A similar problem arose with the 
older Japanese GK Bessel based grid system where things change along 
prefecture boundaries, but at least with that system, lat/lons and 
grid coordinates are unambiguous.
