Till,

The original PROJ.4 distribution had the same problem conficting with windows.h
that you see in more recent versions when you include projects.h.

You might have better luck with Gerald's libproj4 as he has evidently
renamed lots of things (like PJ) that were causing conflicts in the old
version.

But - honestly - why not just segregate your PJ structure access from code
that includes windows.h?
