[Proj] Conversion help

Same results that you think are incorrect:

$> proj -I +init=nad83:4302 +units=us-ft
1473458.118 7276845.408
112d5'54.835"W  40d17'43.039"N

It's possible the definition for the state plane zone is incorrect in the nad83 file.
