Below are the strings of same projection WGS1984
1. (+proj=longlat +ellps=WGS84 +datum=WGS84 +no_defs )
2. GEOGCS["WGS 84",DATUM["WGS_1984",SPHEROID["WGS
84",6378137,298.257223563,AUTHORITY["EPSG","7030"]],TOWGS84[0,0,0,0,0,0,0],AUTHORITY["EPSG","6326"]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0,AUTHORITY["EPSG","8901"]],UNIT["degree",0.0174532925199433,AUTHORITY["EPSG","9108"]],AUTHORITY["EPSG","4326"]]
3. EPSG: 4326
I know that above 3 represent same projection type. But Can anybody explain
me why we use these different strings for the same projection? And when to
use what? And what is the difference between these 3 types.
