Thanks for publishing an early RC. I'll be happy to test future RCs,
e.g. another after db update and merging of various PRs.
I locally upgraded the pkgsrc package, and it built and passed the
included-with-proj tests on NetBSD 7 amd64. Also postgis 2.2.2, when
built against the RC, passes its own tests.
I also built under pkgsrc on OS X 10.9 (and hence with clang) and that
tested ok.
Note that pkgsrc is still using the 1.5 grids, partly becuase we have a
policy of sticking to releases unless doing so is really broken, and
partly because I wasn't aware of the 1.6 RC.
There is a stray patch in the package:
