Torill,
the area of use of EPSG:1104 is
USAGE[
SCOPE["Military survey."],
AREA["Mali."],
BBOX[10.14,-12.25,25.01,4.26]],
with this very interesting remark:
REMARK["Derived at 1 station connected to the Adindan (Blue Nile
1958) network through the 1968-69 12th parallel traverse. Accuracy 25m
in each axis. Note: the Adindan (Blue Nile 1958) CRS is used in Ethiopia
and Sudan, not Mali."]]
The area of use of EPSG:4201 is
USAGE[
SCOPE["Geodesy."],
AREA["Eritrea; Ethiopia; South Sudan; Sudan."],
BBOX[3.4,21.82,22.24,47.99]],
So there is no intersection between both, hence EPSG:1104 is discarded.
