[Qgis-community-team] entering point data

Hi All,

New to QGIS and still trying to navigate the features. I followed the  
instructions for entering point data from a delimited file, but can  
not seem to see the points. Any recommendations? Do I need to set the  
coordinate system somewhere? The instructions stated that this would  
not be necessary.

Sorry for the basic question!
