yes, I agree. It is already a lot of work and we should not do things twice.
Before we start to work on a specific chapter it would definitely make sense
to ask on the developers list, if there will be feature/GUI changes before 1.0,
if you are insecure.

I would like to proceed with our checklist as far as possible and leave things
like creating images for later, when it the GUI is freezed for 1.0. I know there
are also other chapters we need to wait for branch merging, before we can make
screenshots and add/adapt features and examples:

- advanced_printing_branch -> map_composer.tex
- grass-tidyup-branch -> grass_integration.tex
- diagram-branch -> working_with_vectors.tex

are there more branches? Tim, is there a list available which branches will
be merged before 1.0 release and which not?

Anyway, in my opinion this does not (much) affect our task list before feature
freeze (planned on 25. August). And we should then see, what is there and what
needs to be done.
