I was able to get a lakes.gml file using the procedure Jürgen suggested,
using FW Tools.
It still does not load into QGIS v.10 (Windows XP) however. The error
is the same as before-
...\lakes.gml is not a valid or recognized data source
However I checked with a Windows build of QGIS v.11 that I received on
6/6/08, and the layer DOES load!
I am guessing it is a re-emergence of closed Ticket #751 in the Io
Windows build.
Can anyone verify this?
