I did following change now at http://download.osgeo.org/qgis/data/
- qgis_sample_data.tar.gz -> 20080329_qgis_sample_data.tar.gz
(according to the last modified date on the server)
- qgis_data_2008_09_15.tar.gz -> latest_qgis_sample_data.tar.gz
If we update the dataset again, I would propose to rename the
latest_qgis_sample_data.tar.gz to 20080915_qgis_sample_data.tar.gz (again
according to the last modified date on the server) and name the updated dataset
always latest_qgis_sample_data.tar.gz.
This would need once a small change in the windows and probably mac installer,
but then it would be clear, which version people should download. Hope this
is ok for you...
