[Qgis-community-team] Transifex updates

Thank you Tim for this major step in the translation process!
But... the transifex project still doesn't reflects the 1.8 version of the manual because the english po files don't seem to be up to date in github (it's 3 months old!). I think you should run pre_translate.sh on the english doc first.
We're almost there!

Hi All

Unless there are other pending issues, I think I am pretty much
finished configuring and understanding transifex for the
QGIS-Documentation repo. Here is the current status:

* The transifex project reflects documentation for v1.8 of the manual
* Last night I pushed all existing translations up to the project so
it should reflect the current translation state of each language.
Please take a look at your language and see if this is indeed the
case.
* I've written a script to automate the process of pushing language
files - this is available under scripts/create-transifex-resources.sh
and is backported to both 1.8 and master branches.
* To 'download' translation updates to the git repository Otto or
other git committers should follow this procedure:

Things that only need to be done once:

sudo pip install transifex-client
cd /tmp
tx init

Take the defaults and enter your password when prompted. Note that you
password is stored in clear text in ~/.transifexrc

Now go to your local QGIS-Documentation repo and do this everytime you
want to fetch updates:

tx pull
git status
git add [any new language files)
git commit -m "Updated i18n resources from Transifex" i18n

To push any local changes to transifex (for example if you did
translation work locally using QtLinguist):

scripts/create-transifex-resources.sh

I would greatly appreciate if someone could test the above procedures
and then transpose the information above into the README.rst file in
the base of the documentation tree.

I am now going to go on and do the same for the QGIS Training manual
and the QGIS application itself.
