[Qgis-community-team] Guidance on Training Manual Tasks

Hi Eduardo, Jeff and Victor,

We’ve actually just realised that the exercise data specific to Module 9 is missing from the repository and neither Tim nor I have the original. Do you guys happen to have the original exercise data with the stuff for module 9 stashed away somewhere? If so, please could you get it into the repository, or email it to me - a GIS tutor has got in touch saying he needs the data…..

Eduardo - if we can’t get the exercise data, then the first task for module 9 will be to recreate the data. If you are happy to do this, then please do go ahead with it, otherwise, it might be an idea to hold off until the necessary data has been found/recreated.

George

Ideally, all the screenshots should be on the same platform (for visual consistency) and it would make sense for the data shown in the screen grabs to be the new sample data with the same symbology throughout. And wherever possible, we can use the icons defined in the repo’s conf file.

However, it would be great if you could pick a module and update the text for 2.0 - anything after module 6. It might also be an idea to go through the new “preparing data” section in the introduction to make sure what I’ve described makes sense! At this stage, we’re not prioritising adding instructions for new features, but if you come across any glaring 2.0 omissions which could be incorporated into the workflow, please do add them.
