not sure if it his helpfull, but

http://qgis.nl is also a multilingual wordpress website, though I do not
combine the texts in one but use the qTranslate plugin:
http://www.qianqin.de/qtranslate/

with that one you can have two (or more!) url's: like
http://www.qgis.nl/?lang=en and http://www.qgis.nl/?lang=nl
and some message when you have a post only in one

If ANYbody agrees, I'm happy to put your plug already now into the feed!
