[Qgis-community-team] Convert mif files to .shp files

Hi,

I have the model files in .mif format. I converted the .mif files to .shp files in using Universal Translator in MapInfo and edited the same .shp file in QGIS. Then converted the edited .shp file and overlay with the original layer in MapInfo. It is slightly shifted in projection. Please let me know how can I convert the .mif file to .shp file by using the MapInfo projection itself.
