[Qgis-developer] question about the spatial analyse!

Hi,
   I'm new to QGIS, and have some questions to post!
   I'm a traffic engineer, who can give me some idea about the spatial analyse function in QGIS,such as mapmatch/buffer/shortestpath! Is there any API or should I expend the API?
