[Qgis-developer] importing 2.5D shp into PostGIS?

Hi all.
I have seen a recent commit:
http://svn.qgis.org/WebSVN/listing.php?repname=Quantum%20GIS&path=%2F&rev=7126&sc=1
which deletes the "third" dimension from a shp during import. It is much
welcome to avoid any crashes, so I welcome the fix very much.
However, PostGIS does support 3D vectors, so I guess we should fill a
wish for preserving all the info contained in the original file?
